History

Adventist Aviation Services (AAS) was established in 1964 as part of the Adventist Church’s mission outreach in Papua New Guinea. Initially focused on transporting pastors and supplies to remote regions, we have since grown into a semi-commercial charter service supporting both church and community needs. Based in Goroka, we remain the only operator able to access all PNG airstrips and play a vital role in connecting isolated areas. Over time, AAS has transitioned from an expatriate-run workforce to a locally-led team, while maintaining our commitment to safe, reliable transport for church work, emergency services, and rural development.

Mission

Our mission is to support the Adventist Church in Papua New Guinea by providing safe, reliable, and economical air transportation. We play a crucial role in reaching remote communities by flying pastors, teachers, and Bible workers, as well as delivering essential supplies like building materials for churches, schools, and clinics. Beyond spiritual support, We also contribute to community development, emergency medical services, and government outreach, ensuring that vital services reach even the most isolated areas of the country

Charter

To help subsidize the mission side of our organization, we operate a non-scheduled charter operation (passengers & cargo) under a CASA PNG 119 Air Operators Certificate.

Medevac

Due to the lack of road infrastructure in PNG and the rugged terrain, we provide emergency medical evacuation services and hospital transfers to communities throughout Papua New Guinea.
